CCRT Volunteer Roster is Open for Business!

Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport is where soul-sustaining work meets fun times and a whole lotta belly laughs. That last is easy cause hey, our specialty are chihuahuas for goodness sakes! If ever you had a thought to volunteer in any capacity – foster, write, play on the inter-webz, make excuses for spending way too much time on Facebook — act now! We would love to bolster our presence and have volunteers join our current members in these particular areas of Canada.

Become a Foster Dog Caregiver

We are always looking for foster homes throughout Canada, particularly during the holiday and summer seasons when many of our regular foster volunteers are unavailable. Fostering a Chihuahua and helping each tiny dog through their transitional phase is an incredibly rewarding experience. You are the first step in their new life! If we don’t have enough foster homes, we may have to turn away a Chihuahua who needs us!

If you are interested in fostering, please fill out a foster application online today. Once you’ve filled out an application, a volunteer will contact you to answer any questions you might have, and arrange a home visit.

  1. I’m looking to volunteer with a local rescue. I see your looking for volunteers in Kitchener & am very interested. I currently have 2 chi’s, 1 is a rescue from the Kitchener/Waterloo Humane Society where I’ve volunteered at fro many years as an adoption counsellor, dog walker & trainers helper. I also volunteer with various wildlife rehabilitators in Kitchener/Waterloo.
I have an incredible soft spot for these little guys & want to help out in whatever way would benefit them.
I look forward to beginning my journey with you,
    Carrie Faulkner
