An Update From Alan’s New Parents

February 2017 We wanted to say thank you to CCRT and Alan’s Foster Family for connecting us to this amazing little guy! Alan has been with us for less than a week but has settled in like he has lived here forever. From the first day we brought him home he showers us with kisses and runs up to us with his sweet face and wagging little tail every day – all day! He makes us laugh with his loving personality and fun little antics – he loves to play, take walks and is a master snuggler. He has also started to meet the neighbours...

Storm’s Happily-Ever-After

December 2016 Update from Storm’s New Family It has been two months now since we officially adopted “Sweet Storm” and brought her to her Forever Home. We have kept in contact with her amazing foster family and we are so very thankful for everything they did for her during the three month stay with them. We decided to keep the name Storm as it totally suits her personality, colouring and she was already responding to it. Riesling and his new sister Storm have been bonding and all is going very well, she has also made friends with our...

Happy Anniversary to Brooklyn and Theodore!

December 2016 It’s the first anniversary of Brooklyn and Theodore’s adoption!  I thought I’d send some pictures along to you.  They turned 4 in October and are still very energetic.  They run and wrestle and act like little clowns most of the time.  Brooklyn still loves to make her toys squeek and Theodore still loves to tear them apart.  Theodore used to be nervous around men and he now runs up even to men he doesn’t know, toy in his mouth, tail wagging, wanting to play.  And he’s...

Randy Becomes Snax and Lives Happily Ever After

We are thrilled to receive the following update on our former foster, Randy. Things couldn’t have worked out better. Randy (now Snax, thanks to my daughter, because he’s snack-sized) is a fantastic addition to the family. He is so loving and calm we can’t believe it. He loves my daughter and my wife, and is getting warm to me – he lets me walk him and pet him, but is still a bit spooked if I lean over him. He’s working on it though. He has also helped my wife with her anxiety to an unbelievable degree. He is so...

Jazz’s Happy “Tail”

We heard from Jazz’s new mom the other day!  Here’s the latest. My parents stayed with me for a few days in late August, and he and my mother were completely smitten with one another. He was always by her side when we were at home, and was clearly happiest when she came out on walks with us. He has become a wonderful walker! We can now walk up to half a block without stopping, and he trots along beside me as I walk at a comfortable pace. About 20% of the time he still prefers to mosey along and sniff virtually every blade of...

Lucky’s Happy Ending : Living the Good Life

Update from Lucky’s forever mom, September 2016. We realized that it’s coming up to a year since Lucky joined our family and I thought I’d send you a quick update! Lucky quickly made good friends with our cat – they play quite crazily and they both like to join Marc and I in the evenings in the Rec room to watch tv.  There’s a picture below of them waiting for us to join them in front of the tv. Lucky has also made good friends with our boys!  Surprisingly our younger boy Adam (the one Lucky bit in the early...

Gypsy’s Happy Ending

Here is Gypsy with Teddy getting ready for their walk and then a sit down on the front verandah to watch the dogs go by. They are best of friends.  The Gyps is just beginning to stop her barking at everything and really relaxing.  She’s so smart.  Whilst I make dinner, she now sits on the edge of carpet watching me all the time.  She’s bonded completely with me and almost there with my husband.  She has a new leather harness – looks like a Game of Thrones extra. I love her to bits and she’s growing in a huge coat of...

Finnigan Checks In with Happy Ending

July 2016 Hi everyone – it’s Finnigan here!  I wanted to let you know that even though it took a while for me to find my forever home (and that was okay because Kathy’s house was lots of fun!), it was worth the wait.  I love my new people and my new friends and my new routine.  I settled in very quickly and I am very attached to my Mom and my brother Stevie.    Early every morning we go walking in the ravine near our house and Stevie and I try to chase the squirrels and the rabbits and the ducks.  Boy they are fast – we never seem to catch...
