In Memory Donations

It’s not always easy to know what to do when a beloved pet dies. But one thing is clear – honouring the memory of that pet and the importance of the human-animal bond we all share with our beloved companions is important.

If you would like your donation to CCRT to be made in memory of an adored furry family member, please email us at donate@ccrt.net . We ask that you include the name of the pet you are honouring, and if it wasn’t your pet, the name and contact information of the family. CCRT will send them a card letting them know that you have made a donation in celebration of the life of their much-loved pet.

If you prefer to send a cheque or money order, please send it to our mailing address:

  1. I am interested in making a donation to honour the memory of a 17 yr old chihuahua who passed away yesterday. The owner is devastated, she was rescued from a puppy mill and has had a wonderful home. However, nowhere in your web site is there an indication that a card with a message acknowledging the donation and the reason for the gift is sent as in other pet charity organizations. It is important that the owner have some tangible acknowledgement that this was done in his pet’s memory outside of me calling and telling him that which is a bit tacky. Can you let me know if you do send cards in memory of pets to acknowledge donations. Tine is a little of the essence here. Many thanks…..Michelle

  2. Hi Michelle – it’s always sad to hear of a beloved pet passing away, but wonderful to know you’d like to make a donation in their honour. We have just moved our website to this platform and are still undertaking some tweaks and edits, so the fact that we do send donation cards (upon request) will be included in our next round of edits. To do so, please email us at info@ccrt.net and someone will be in touch to get the necessary details with respect to your kind donation.

  3. Hello
I have a 15kg unopened bag of dog food I would like to donate to any of your foster homes in the Toronto area in the name of my little Chihuahua Sammy Joe who passed recently. My friends dog passed suddenly and she was so upset she wanted to get rid of everything. The food was brand new and unopened. It is Medi-Cal Urinary SO for management of Kidney stones and urinary problems. I though one of your senior permanent fosters might be able to use it. I am a senior and don’t drive so it would need to be picked up. I live in the Spadina and St. Claire area of Toronto just nor of Casa Loma. Please let me know if you can use Thanks

    • Thank you so much for your kind offer! Please email us at info@ccrt.net with this information and it will be forwarded to a volunteer who lives closest to you. Together, you can work out a pick up plan. The Chihuahua’s thank you!
