Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport (CCRT) has many dedicated volunteers. Marilla is one of htem. She joined the organization as a general volunteer, but when she met Gracie, things changed very quickly! Here is Marilla on camera with her adopted chihuahua Gracie. Poor little Gracie was stranded at a shelter and not doing well there at all. Shelter life is particularly difficult for toy breeds like chihuahuas. Marilla describes how she came to adopt Gracie and what makes her so special to her furever mom.
Whirlwind Chihuahua Adoption
Marilla and Gracie took part in the Friend-Raising Benefit for CCRT at Pawsway Toronto in February 2013. The annual event is hosted by Tina Chuck and the TorontoChihuahua on Facebook Meetup Group. To help CCRT make more adoption Happy Tails, visit our Adoptable Dogs here on the website! You will also find applications forms to become a Volunteer Foster Family or to donate a sweater or blanket for the rescued dogs – every contribution is accepted most gratefully.
