Toronto Chihuahua Group's CCRT Valentine's Day Meet Up, Sunday February 12, 11:00am – 1:00pm

On Sunday, February 12, 2012 the Toronto Chihuahua on Facebook Meet-Up Group will be dedicating the day's event to Canadian Chihuahua Rescue & Transport!

CCRT is calling out to all our adopted and adoptable chichi's and their owners & foster families to come on down and show off their best-est valentine's day outfits, take part in some fun activities with your pooch, and give your chi a great opportunity to socialize in a chihuahua-only, safe, comfortable indoor venue.

The initiative is being organized by CCRT volunteers along with Tna Chuck, the meet-up group's organizer, to raise awareness of the rescue's activities amongst chichi-lovers. CCRT has recently taken in puppy mill survivors from 4 different puppy mills, and we want to spread the word that these wonderful dogs are now available for adoption.

We encourage the regular and new meet-up attendees to bring guests who might want to adopt!

We'll have lots of information on the rescue and our adorable chihuahuas right there on site - come on down and play with the puppies, find out about volunteering or even becoming a foster family for CCRT. Find more about CCRT and our adoptable dogs at www.ccrt.net.

Mark the date to come to Toronto Chihuahua Group's CCRT Valentine's Day Meet Up, February 12, 11am - 1pm at Pawsway, 245 Queen Street West Toronto, Ontario M5J 2K9, Pawsway Phone (416) 360-7297.

The CCRT is run entirely and exclusively by volunteers and because of this, we often don’t have the time necessary to do a lot of things we would like to do for our rescue dogs. One of those things is to plan and participate in events. Our volunteers have been extremely successful in the past in putting on some great fundraisers – Rockin’ Chi and Trick or Chi to name a few – but the cost to our volunteers has been extreme. They end up spending an untold number of hours organizing these events, but these long hours are put in after a hard day at work, family time and events, school, other CCRT duties and just life in general.

To that end, we would like to put out a call for help. If you own or are an employee of an event planning business or simply have the time required to take full ownership of a CCRT event, please contact us at media@ccrt.net. Our Media and Public Relations representative would be thrilled to hear from you and work with you to put on a record breaking fundraiser.
